Hi, my name is elia. I photograph out of personal need, collecting faces, places and small visual fragments.

elia tofani works with photography as a way of staying close to atmosphere, presence and the details that remain after looking. The archive moves between portraits, cosplay, events, travel and personal visual projects, held together by slow, quiet attention.

The work is interested in the small tension between subject and environment: how a face holds a room, how a place carries its own light, how a photograph can remain faithful to what was actually there.

The photographic work stays focused on mood, composition, light and the quiet space between subject and surroundings. Portraits, cosplay, events and travel are approached with attention rather than a fixed style.

Commissioned work is welcome when the brief leaves room for that kind of looking.

the_machine second exposure ▸ the lab

Alongside the photographic archive there is a quieter side desk: a small digital lab where notes and experiments gather around PC hardware, electronics, artificial intelligence, videogames and interactive visual systems.

It is not a tech blog and not a product. Just a record of what the other hand is doing while the camera rests.
